Faux Bois in My Kitchen

Yesterday was one of those days when I had a million things to do, but instead spent the day "experimenting" with new projects. I also ate 1.5 donuts from Peter Pan.

I went a little crazy at my favorite dollar store and came back with a big bag of materials - including 2 rolls of wood grain contact paper. With the contact paper I gave our refrigerator and microwave wood paneled sides and made some matching magnets.

I was wondering if it would end up looking cheesy and in the end I was surprised at how much I love it. It definitely gives some warmth to that area and I love that all my magnets now match. It also gave me a chance to remove some of the clutter on the fridge.

Chopped Me Locks

I have yet to perfect the art of taking a photo of myself. But, I did get a new haircut and I freaking love it. I went to Mousey Brown in Williamsburg. I've been there for my last two haircuts and both times I have had a stellar cut - and it's only $55, which is a great price for a hair cut in NYC.

I wanted a cut that looked something like this and Krissy did a freaking fantastic job of giving me all the good parts without the heavy curtain of hair and bangs in the eye.

MeeeeeOwwwwwww

Yesterday my friend called me up at work and asked if I could play for his softball team because they lost their girl player and didn't want to forfeit their play-off game. It was good practice for me because this is a scrappier league, but I pulled my quad muscle when I was running to first base. I could barely get out of the car when we got back to Greenpoint, but I took 3 Tylenol pills, drank a 16 oz Żywiec, and woke up this morning as good as new!

In other news....CAT ATTACK! Paws is trying to be the new OBEY and made me make these new tote bags with his likeness. Everyone loves a cat - perfect for the hipster or crazy lady in your life.
