A Rainbow of Pillows

I stayed in last night so I could prepare and finally post all these pillows on ETSY. They have been sitting in my office since the Renegade Craft Fair. I pulled out all the furniture in the living room so I could host the photo shoot...in my newly reupholtered chair (more photos on that later once I refinish the legs)!

The extra bonus was that our living room got a really good cleaning - who knows how all those Mike & Ike boxes got under the sofa - I think the Paws fur tumbleweeds get the late-night munchies.

A Ferndale Fourth 2009

There is only one way to celebrate the USA and that is with the 5 F's: friends, family, fireworks, food, and Ferndale.

On Friday, Abe, Preeya, Dave and I hit the road to Ferndale, PA where our awesome friends Alex, Becca, and Ella live. Over the next day or so more friends gathered and we maintained a steady routine of eating, drinking, playing with Ella, playing catch, playing quoits, playing trackball, setting off fireworks, and sitting around the fire pit.

The roasted whole pig was hard to handle, but this is something Alex has wanted for a long time so it was impossible not to be happy for him.

What do you have for breakfast after 2 days of binge eating? Why a cannoli filled with cannolis, of course.

Happy Birthday, Miles!

Saturday was Miles' birthday and since he, Brooke and Jester are amazing hosts they of course threw an amazing birthday party.

Dark & Stormies for everyone!

Key to an awesome party = never run out of ice.

And tequila soaked watermelon.

And lots of snacks.

Young and fabulous.

Jester wasn't taking "No." for an answer.

Mere pours some out for her homie, MJ.

Summer in the City

After 3 weeks of non-stop rain the Universe finally decided to reward us with some crazy skies and beautiful weather. Friday night provided us with this sunset, which was apparently seen all over New York City because everyone had photos of it on Facebook and Flickr.

Saturday at the East River Park in Williamsburg was dreamy.

And spotted some Amazing Baby posters on Bedford!

And later in the day (after a crazy downpour) we got a major double rainbow - we're talking leprechaun and pot of gold material.

Or maybe it was Michael Jackson moonwalking up in heaven...

Fire Escape Garden Summer '09

I've let my radishes run wild and the flowers they grow are so pretty and dainty.

Mmmm - cilantro. A polarizing herb - people either love it or want it dead. I love it in fresh salsa. Hopefully my tomato plants will be bountiful and I can stuff myself with salsa all summer long.
